Web Awards update
No art post today since during my normal slot for writing, I was swanning around sipping wine at the Brighton Web Awards. Rather too much wine if truth be known, but you can’t blame me: everyone was at it! The speeches got slightly more raucous as the evening went on.
The arts category was given first. It was a thrill to see Draw Anyway projected onto the enormous screen at the front of the room and described to all present. Sadly we didn’t win: that honour went to Two Kats and a Cow, the long established and much-loved local gallery on Brighton seafront. Congratulations to them. Check out their site for some really appealing artwork, too.

Glad you had fun at the awards, and it’s always nice to get recognition!
It’s a shame you didn’t win but at least you were nominated and had some good wine!
All true - except the ‘good’ wine part. I suspect the cheap wine is why I am still suffering a little right now - but it is my own fault!
Cheap wine. Good wine. I don’t mind as long as it’s in my glass.
