Link: Sketched out

Linda Silvestri has left a few comments on Draw Anyway, so out of curiosity I followed her link, and … wow! As she explains, she’s a print designer who wants to break out of all those regimented straight lines and get back to some sketchier, earthier drawings. We can certainly appreciate that! Go and browse if you’d like to enjoy some wonderful drawings coupled with a fine sense of humour.
Have you voted for Draw Anyway in those Brighton & Hove web awards yet? Well, hurry along: only four days to go! (You don’t have to vote in every category, nor do you have to be a resident of Brighton).

Yes, I’ve been watching her grow for a long time now and lately I think she’s hitting on all cylinders.
While I’m just a johnny-come-lately, but that’s good to hear. Hi, by the way!
What a pleasant surprise to come to your site this morning and see that you’ve featured me. Wow! I am sooo flattered.
I love your site! What a great thing you do, encouraging people to get in touch with their artist side. I also think everyone should draw. It might possibly set their spirits free (providing they need setting free, that is.)
Good luck with the web awards! Hope you win.
I am so glad: I thought twice before copying your image, hoping it was a good thing to replicate it rather than a hideous imposition… Thank you for your kind words. I often wonder who on earthI am to be telling anybody anyhting, but it’s as much an exploration for me as it is for anyone else, and hopefully that shines through.
Linda is brilliant, and one of the most talented illustrators I know of, and a wonderful writer. I’m so glad you chose to feature her.
