Drawing faces (5) - have some fun

Faces and people seem to be one of those subjects that can get people throwing their pencil down in frustration, perhaps because it’s the thing they most want to draw, and yet one of the hardest subjects to get an immediate grip of.
My advice: just keep on trying. You aren’t going to get any worse.
This week I’ve given you some loose technical advice on drawing faces, and also provided a link to a tutorial where you can learn the basics of proportion. In the last post of the week, my advice is simply to have some fun.
Whether you want to draw a cartoon (as above), play with materials (how about collage?) or just break all the rules I gave you yesterday and draw a face composed of lines, go for it! You might even want to try caricature. Basic rule of caricature - exaggerate big features (and then exaggerate some more).
Draw a face and enjoy yourself.
