Weekend draw: through a door
Here’s a quick round up of the week’s posts. As usual, none of these threads are closed, so please feel free to go back and contribute.
> On Monday, I wrote about close-ups versus wide views.
> On Tuesday, I attempted to get you all embarrassing yourselves by drawing in the street.
> On Wednesday, the task genuinely only took two minutes - what’s up with you guys?! More responses, please. Don’t be scared.
> On Thursday, I asked whether you believed that people are born artists or non-artists. I also got really happy about a picture I’d drawn! Rare event!
> And on Friday, I tried to dress up the pack-ratting behaviour of the collage-maker as a way to declutter.
As you may know by now, on Saturdays I post a topic so we can all have a go at drawing the same thing. This week: through a door. Doors provide a nice frame for a picture. Choose the most interesting one in your house, or get adventurous and sit and draw in a cafe instead. Then come back and show me your work!
By the way, if you got enthused by collage yesterday, this would be a great subject for that medium.

I’m going to cheat. Here’s one I prepared earlier…about 10 years earlier…sketch through a door on my honeymoon!

Ha ha, drawing on your honeymoon: you must be a real artist! Nice picture though.
:) Thanks!

V impressive - thanks, I enjoyed it.
I totally forgot that I never uploaded this! So here we are:

Just a quick sketch in biro. But I quite liked it so I decided to go back into it with ink, and make it all scary. It doesn’t look as good but it was so fun to do, I haven’t used ink in a while. I must get back into it.
