Weekend draw: self-portrait
Every weekend we all have a go at drawing the same thing. This week the task is to draw yourself! Oh, go on - this could be fun, couldn’t it? Then post it here.
This weeks’ round-up:
-> On Monday, I told you the secret of negative space.
-> On Tuesday, we thought about drawing with a child.
-> On Wednesday, we tried drawing without lines.
-> On Thursday, it was drawing with a computer.
-> And on Friday, I got all metaphysical on yo’ass and told you “you are an artist“.

I’m back from holiday tonight! I can’t wait to see what you’ve all been doing while I was away.

Aargh, I uploaded the wrong photo and can’t figure out how to delete it. Can you do it for me? What I MEANT to say was…
OK, here’s me in my usual style (I really like felt tip pens at the moment, as you’ll notice when I’ve uploaded my other homework). I won’t try drawing my hair going in front of my face again - it looks like I have sideburns…
Duly deleted! Yep, that is also on my list of things to look at about the site, one day… it is really nice to see this picture, even though I do actually know what you look like.
Cheers! I don’t usually draw myself, but hmm, I work quite well as a cartoon character…
I’m looking a bit grumpy, maybe this is my concentration face!
I like the composition on the page. Also, I want to know what brand of bra you wear, because it’s giving you an excellent shape, tee hee.
snigger!
I think they were being supported by my belly.
I managed to fill almost the whole page, thinking about what you said in the week. Oddly though I started with the shoulder and the collar of the t-shirt and worked down, then added the head on after, which is why it’s not quite in proportion.
I dunno though, the proportion looks pretty good to me! I’m always told to not start with the head actually, so you went about it the right way. It’s true though, if you start with the head you tend to get the whole thing too big or small to match it.
The elbow looks very well drawn actually. I’m rubbish at elbows.
Here’s mine, did this this morning, took about 15 minutes I reckon. I have no idea what’s going on with my eyes though. I don’t feel as tired as I look here :P
I have no idea if that pic is going to work. I uploaded it onto photobucket and just used their lil code. Here goes…
It worked!
